Meet our Pastor
Elder Clarence Wright is an anointed man of God, one dedicated to God’s people, a spirit led leader, and a man of great compassion. He teaches the significance of prayer, servanthood, unity, and the up building of God’s kingdom.
Elder Wright was saved in 1975 and soon joined Zion Holy Church in Newark, NJ, where he has been a member ever since. He preached his Trial Sermon in June 1977. Elder Clarence Wright’s willingness to say "Yes" to the Lord fostered his ability to grow in ministry and to see the manifestations of God’s glory and power in his life.
Under the Pastorate of the late Bishop Leonard R. Williams he served as sexton, church announcer, church clerk, minister and adjutant. At the passing of this great man, Elder Wright continued to serve under, Bishop Evelyn Williams-Gordon as Business Administra tor and in any capacity required by God. During Bishop Gordon’s extended illness, Elder Wright served as interim Pastor through her recuperation. In September 2003, Elder Wright was ordained an Elder and appointed Assistant Pastor of Zion. He served in that capacity until his appointment as Pastor in 2009.
Pastor Wright has served our national church, Mt. Sinai Holy Church of America, Inc., as National Registrar for the National Youth Convention, Pennsylvania/New Jersey repre sentative on the Executive Council of the Young People’s Department and now appointed to the Board of Presbyters.

Pastor Wright’s greatest treasure is his relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, being sanc tified by the Word of Truth and possessing the Gift of the Holy Spirit.
He declares, Psalm 27:4, “One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple.”
